present rights to abstract water from the streams and catchment

areas above the Tytam Conduit.

I have, further, to state, in reply to the last

paragraph of the Admiralty letter, that as far as I can see it

is improbable that any works will be constructed within the

catchment area of the stream flowing immediately west of the

present reservoir that will contaminate the water flowing

therein; nor does it appear that any circumstances are likely

to arise to deprive the Naval Authorities of continuing to

abstract water from this stream as heretofore.
